Pontardawe Town Council's Annual Civic Service took place on Sunday 19 September 2010 at Gosen Chapel, Swansea Road, Trebanos, at 2.30pm. The service was well attended and children from Trebanos Primary School sang for the congregation. Our thanks go to the young people who gave willingly of their time.
The proposed skate park for Pontardawe is still ongoing. We are still pursuing grants from a number of sources and we hope, eventually, to be successful.
REMOVAL OF DERILICT BUILDING, THE CROSS, PONTARDAWE
I am sure we are all happy to see the removal of the building which has been achieved by the Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council. We now hope to see a refurbished area with paving, gardens and more. Pontardawe Town Council has put in a bid for money to do the above work under Strategic Development. However, we will have to wait to see if we are successful.
TEENAGE MEETING POINT , TREBANOS.
We have put in a grant bid for money for a teenage meeting point for Trebanos Park, Trebanos, Pontardawe. We are keeping our fingers crossed for a favorable outcome.
