Fans rave about King

Bluebirds fans have taken note of Eli King's performance against Rangers on Sunday.

The on-loan Cardiff man more than played his part in Ross County's 3-2 win over the Scottish giants - their first-ever victory against the Ibrox club.

King helped set up Josh Sims for the third goal, while his overall display was a positive one.

The midfielder will head back to south Wales this summer with a real hope of barging his way into Erol Bulut's first-team plans. Contracted to the club until 2026, he is likely to play some part in Cardiff's pre-season plans and he will be aiming to lay down a marker, as will a number of other youngsters on the books in the Welsh capital.

With the likes of Romaine Sawyers, Andy Rinomhota and perhaps Ebou Adams on the move, space will be available for him in the squad.

Ramsey set for scan

Aaron Ramsey is set to undergo a scan on the injury he picked up against Birmingham City in midweek.

The Wales skipper was making his first start since the south Wales derby back in September at St Andrew's but he was replaced at half-time, having struggled through the last 10 minutes of the half with a knock.

"He has a hamstring problem," Bulut said after the match. "I hope it's not something big. We will see after the scan, I hope for him it's not a big one.

"After the scan we can speak more, about what grade it is, but I hope it is a small one because he has had a hard season with injuries and I wish him all the best.

"He worked really hard to come back and we used him in games before, a few minutes, 15 or 20 minutes, to be not in danger. But today we spoke with the medical department about bringing him on from the start to play 60 minutes, but in the end it was a hamstring problem and I just hope it's nothing big. I hope still this season he can play the last one or two games."

Ramsey will have the scan tomorrow where the severity of the injury will be determined.

"I think the scan will be Monday," Bulut added after the defeat at Millwall. "Then we know more."

Rinomhota praised

Rotherham boss Leam Richardson chose to praise rather than criticise Cardiff loan man Andy Rinomhota following his own goal against Swansea City on Saturday.

In a turgid encounter, Rinomhota's piece of misfortune was the difference between the two sides. The Millers are, of course, already relegated from the Championship.

“It's an honest mistake,” said Richardson. “Andy's a loan player who has committed himself to the club.”

Hinting that not all players are putting their hands up to be counted, he added: “Andy has made himself available, as all of the loanees have. They're not our players but they've put themselves right at the front for every single game. I will never have any qualms with people who do that.

“We've got a small group who are pulling together.”
