McArthurGlen Designer Outlet Bridgend has announced it will undergo a multi-million pound redevelopment this year, bringing three new restaurants to the popular shopping centre. However, as part of the plans which are expected to take several months to complete, the outlet has confirmed closing dates - albeit temporarily for some of its food offerings - while the work is being completed.

The work to completely develop the popular food court in the shopping centre will start at the end of April, and not expected to be completed until late Autumn. As a result, some of customer's favourites including Nandos, McDonalds and Chopsticks will be closed while work is undergoing.

Owners of the shopping centre, which has been a popular pit stop and destination shopping outlet, in south Wales for over 25-years say they are undertaking a "substantial investment to redevelop the Food Court area and replace it with new and exciting restaurants". They say the development and new restaurants will create 100+ additional job opportunities for the local community – within the construction team itself and restaurant staffing.

The ODEON cinema linked to the current food court will remain open while work is ongoing.
