A yellow warning for rain has been issued in Wales this weekend. The Met Office has issued the warning overnight on Saturday, March 17 heading into Sunday, March 17.

The weather service issued the warning saying: "Heavy rain likely to lead to some surface water flooding and transport disruption overnight and early Sunday morning." It comes as conditions have led to poor visibility on Welsh roads on Saturday evening.

The warning says a spell of heavy rain overnight will bring widely 20-30 mm and possibly 40-50 mm in a few places. For the latest Welsh news delivered to your inbox sign up to our newsletter.
